Rates in the main house from £189 and in the cottage from £225 per night
We are working with customers to minimise any financial loss. We are awaiting further government direction to determine when we will be able to reopen. Currently we are definitely closed until 4th July. Please note that we are not aware of any restaurants, bars or hotels opening from 4th July so guests may wish to modify their bookings anyway.
We have been informed that bookings that are cancelled due to the virus may be covered by travel insurance and if you have paid via a card your deposit may be reclaimed from your card provider. We advise all our guests to take out travel insurance so hopefully you will be covered by this. If your cancelation is due to medical reasons or flight cancellations, your travel policy will cover the cost of any losses.
If you need to cancel due to Covid19 constraints and would like to re-book for later this year or next year, we'd be very happy to modify your booking and transfer the deposit to the new dates. Most of our guests are doing this. If you don't yet know a date, we can place your booking on hold and you can re-book for any date within one calendar year of your current booking. Cancellations that fall outside the current lockdown period will be subject to our standard terms and conditions.
When we reopen we will be implementing an enhanced health and safety regime (over and above our usual high standards of cleanliness). Our 3 main suites are self contained units and all accessed via their own separate entrance. The cottage can be used on a 100% self-contained basis. Where required, guests can avail themselves of our self check-in process. We will ot be ofrering daily room servicing but we will provide replenishments as and when requested eg fresh milk, coffee, tea, loo roll etc.
We regret to inform customers that the increased cleaning, laundering and health & safety processes (plus third party commissions) will add another £20-35 per night to each night's stay*. We may also be unable to offer breakfast in the room rates as Rick Stein may not be open for business so rooms may need to be offered on a 'room-only' basis. If this is the case, we will work with customers to agree the best way forward.
Finally, we are also going to have to be more rigid when it comes to check-out and check-in times as we need the whole day to turn round the rooms in order to comply with new health and safety requirements.
Please do not hesistate to contact us with any questions related to your bookings. Booking.com customers can modify their bookings' directly with Booking.com. This currently applies to non-refundable bookings.

Voted Britain's "Best Hidden Gem" by Trip Advisor travelers, Coswarth House Bed & Breakfast in Padstow, Cornwall is a relaxed, informal yet stylish boutique bolthole in a recently renovated historic house with stunning views over the Camel Estuary to Rock.
Coswarth House is not your usual B&B and has no aspirations to be regarded as such! It is designed for the discerning traveller who wishes to maintain their privacy in traditional and sumptuous surroundings. We offer accommodation in Padstow combining the benefits of period charm & boutique styling. Our breakfast is provided by our friends at Rick Stein's Cafe which is a very short walk from the house. Our spacious, light bedrooms have been freshly refurbished to create relaxing spaces where antique furniture sits comfortably alongside contemporary touches. Our bedrooms have luxurious, spacious en-suite bathrooms with powerful showers & antique cast iron roll top baths to soak away your stresses & strains. Soft, fluffy towels, waffle robes & stylish aromatherapy bathroom products add a touch of opulence.
The new cottage suite provides even more privacy and the opportunity to have a self catering holiday. The Cottage suite has also been designed to accomodate 1-2 small dogs on prior request.
Guests are invited to make full use of our secluded walled garden to relax, read a book & soak up the sun. With stunning views of the Camel Estuary the garden offers a tranquil retreat from the bustle of Padstow's picturesque harbour.
Coswarth House has parking for guests in the main house. Please note there is no parking for the cottage suite but there is plenty of off street parking in the immediate vicinity.
Free wifi access is available to guests.
Coswarth House is ideally situated for sightseeing. We're less than 5 minutes stroll from the harbour with its selection of pubs, shops & restaurants but we're far enough removed from the centre of town when you want to relax. The immediate surrounding area offers a range of stunning walks to suit all abilities & within a short drive lie too many beaches, gardens & historic houses to number.
The small team who work here all share a genuine commitment to friendly but unobtrusive service coupled with a passion for quality. We keep our eyes on all the little details to ensure you have a relaxing & enjoyable stay. In summary, Coswarth House B&B is somewhere very special where you can relax in style and privacy.
